Worship

In an effort to fulfill the your spiritual needs, the Montrose United Methodist Church offers four distinctively divergent worship opportunities and styles.

Sunday 8:25 a.m. Service: A blend of Contemporary and Celebration Services that is clergy led and a less formal style. Congregational singing will be mostly from the hymnal supplement and special music will be provided each time. Welcome and greeting of visitors starts at 8:25 a.m. and the service starts at 8:30 a.m.

Sunday 10:55 a.m. Service: Clergy led, traditional, much more formal service, with less congregational singing from the hymal, and more ritualistic elements. Welcome and greeting of visitors starts at 10:55 a.m. and the service starts at 11:00 a.m.

Saturday Night 5:30 p.m. "Come As Your Are" Service: This service meets at 5:30 p.m. in Baldridge Hall (Note : During Lent, the service meets in the sanctuary). A casual praise service that is primarily laity led; the music is upbeat, and includes drums, keyboard and guitars. No hymnals or bulletins are used, but power point leads participants through the service.

Thursday Night 7:00 p.m. Taize Service: A quiet, laity led service of prayer and meditation. Music is short and repetitive to allow for meditation and the silences are long to allow for personal contemplation. The service includes scripture and prayer but no sermon or message, and is offered every 6 weeks. Check the Events and Publicity page for the next date.

For all of these services, child-care is availabe.
